Associate Designer Applications
At Wild Guitar Studio, collaboration is approached as carefully as creation. We do not offer casual commissions or open calls. Instead, we invite select artists to contribute as Associate Designers, a title reserved for those whose work resonates with our atelier’s philosophy of narrative, symbolism, and cultural permanence.
Becoming an Associate Designer means joining a studio that positions the guitar not as decoration but as a work of art. Each design is developed with the same care as a gallery piece: prepared for limited release, documented with provenance, and framed as a collectible cultural object.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from illustrators, fine artists, and visual designers whose work shows:
- Narrative depth, with a strong ability to create imagery rooted in story, allegory, or symbolism
- A distinctive voice that is unique and disciplined, capable of standing alongside the studio’s existing portfolio while adding new dimensions
- Precision of craft with technical clarity and attention to detail suitable for adaptation onto instruments
- Professionalism with commitment to deadlines, quality standards, and collaborative integrity
This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking artists who can bring maturity, imagination, and confidence to their contributions.
What the Role Involves
- Development of one or more original guitar wrap designs under the artistic direction of Alyssa Denise
- Integration of personal style within the established narrative framework of Wild Guitars
- Preparation of artwork to technical specifications for wrap production
- Collaboration on accompanying text or concept notes
- Release of works as limited editions, accompanied by certificates, provenance records, and gallery-standard presentation
What You Gain
- Recognition as an Associate Designer within the Wild Guitars atelier
- Publication of your work within the official portfolio and website
- Full credit on provenance certificates and collector materials
- Exposure to both art and music audiences through exhibitions, press, and catalogue distribution
- A share of profits from sales of your designs (structured as a designer royalty or profit split, agreed upon prior to release)
Application Requirements
Please prepare the following:
- Portfolio: 5–10 examples of recent work, ideally including narrative or symbolic pieces.
- Artist Statement: A short text (250–400 words) outlining your style, influences, and interest in narrative design.
- CV or Biography: A short summary of your education and creative background.
- Proposal (optional): If you have specific concepts you would like to develop with Wild Guitars, include 1–2 paragraphs.

Selection Process
Applications are reviewed periodically by Alyssa Denise and the Wild Guitars team. Selected artists will be invited for an initial conversation to discuss alignment with the studio’s vision and expectations for collaboration.
As this is a highly selective process, only successful applicants will be contacted.
Commitment to Artists
Every Associate Designer is credited fully for their work and treated as a valued part of the atelier. Wild Guitars provides the production, provenance, and collector framework — Associate Designers provide their creative voice. Together, we create narrative instruments that are both playable and collectible works of art.
